Check-In and Check-Out

You can check in to your room from 3pm. Although you are welcome to arrive earlier, it may be that your room isn't ready until 3pm, but you can relax after a long journey in the lounge and leave your luggage with us should you head out. Reception closes at 10pm, so please check-in before this time, or contact us in advance for later arrivals. Check-out time is 10am.

Accessibility

We regret to inform you that our facilities are not currently wheelchair accessible. We are in the early stages of planning improvements to ensure better accessibility in the future.

If you require a ground floor room, please inform us at the time of booking, and we will do our utmost to accommodate your requirements within our current capabilities.

Parking

There are spaces available on the road for parking, however these require a parking permit. We offer free permits to our guests for a refundable £20 cash deposit per vehicle. Please inform Reception prior to your arrival if you need a permit.

Phone Use

Please note The Highbury Centre has no public phone and the rooms are not equipped with phone. For longer stays we suggest to purchase a phone card when arriving to London.

Computer and Internet Access

We have a strong WiFi network throughout the house which you can use for free. For printing, please go to the office. We charge 10p per printed page or photocopy.

Laundry Facilities

Our laundry area is opened for our guests to use between 3.30pm to 10pm. Equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and ironing facilities. You can purchase washing detergent at the Reception.

Public Transport

The closest underground station is Highbury & Islington on the Victoria line. This is about 10-15 minutes’ walk away. Local buses take you directly to locations such as: The British Museum, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, St Paul’s Cathedral, Waterloo, Piccadilly Circus (walking distance from Trafalgar Square). You can plan your journey and also find transport maps on Transport for London.

Children

The Highbury Centre is a family friendly guesthouse and children are very welcome. We are equipped with baby cots and highchairs - please enquire when making a reservation. Our spacious garden has a play area, and we have a selection of children's books, films and board games.

Smoking

The Highbury Centre is a non-smoking building. If guests are not compliant, then The Highbury Centre will have the right to charge a fixed penalty of £50. We have a designated smoking area. Kindly inquire at the reception for more information.

Pets

Sorry, pets are not allowed at the guesthouse, with the exception of Guide Dogs.

Cancellations

In the event of cancellation or changing dates, half of the deposit will be refunded if you notify us 7 days before your arrival date, after that no refund is given. In case of NO-SHOW or early check out, no refund will be made and the booking will be cancelled without the required advance notice. Group terms and conditions differ, if you wish to make a group booking for over 5 rooms, please see the terms and conditions for groups.

 

Payment

At the time of booking we charge a deposit only, the remaining balance is to be paid upon arrival. If someone is paying on your behalf then the same arrangement applies. Please see our terms and conditions for details. You can pay by credit/debit card or cash in GBP Sterling. We do not accept cheques and American Express.
